Andy, will Goldwave play back other files on your computer? If so, then you are obviously getting sound out of Goldwave and your computer. So, if this is the case, then maybe Goldwave isn't recording the stream . It can be confusing though, and I'd say start by making sure you have all volume controls in the windows or soundcard mixer to maximum. You can bring down the volume controls that aren't needed afterwards to bring down overall background noise when recording. Microphone inputs at max can be rather noisy.
