Cheers Barry, I'm a complete beginner at this as I said, so any tips are
much appreciated.

I did take a look on that site you mentioned, but was a little concerned in
case the apps were based in America, as I did get one once, not a GPS one I
add, which unfortunately didn't work well over in the UK.

Hi,

There's loads on

http://www.applevis.com

However, you may want to wait until the summer to see what Sendero are
coming out with. At the moment IMHO there's no one package for IOS that
covers all the features a Visually impaired person would want. So you could
find yourself using NAVIGON for route planning, and another for Points Of
Interest, and yet another for "Where am at the moment", functionality.
Which gets a bit messy. Also the likes of NAVIGON or Tom Tom aren't cheap.

Regards,

Barry.

Subject: [access-uk] Recommendations for a GPS App for the Iphone

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a user friendly type GPS app for my iphone. I want
something to tell me where I am, and something to help me find new places
etc.

I have no sight, so need something that works well with voiceover.

Many thanks.
