Hi Donna Whilst in the Volume controls, press Alt p for options from the menu, select properties or press r, press Tab key to land in playback, use down arrow key to land on record, press Tab, find microphone and make sure the check box is selected and press enter to exit these settings and you'll notice you got the microphone displaying. I ran the sndvol32 like you said, and there are five volumes in there: Playback, line in, midi, cd audio and wave, but JAWS isn't reading me any button about muting a microphone. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Sorry to bother you.
