Hi Peter, Andrew,

Here's all that Word 2003's Help says:-

Turn off all smart tags

On the Tools menu, click AutoCorrect Options, and then click
the Smart Tags tab.

Clear the Label text with smart tags check box.=20

George.

Hi Andrew,
=09This might be of little help, but though you have
done one of the correct things to do when turning off smart
tags, there is still one more thing you have to do. I've
been all over MS word trying to bring to mind the second
step, but I've been unable to. I'm certain there are two
steps to turning off smart tags, both steps much the same as
one another. The only difference is that their respective
check boxes are in different windows. Hoping this will jog
someone's memory.

Peter
