[access-uk] Re: Problem with Floppy Disk Drive

Hi

I don't actually think it's a hardware problem as if I try and access a disk
I can hear the drive trying to read it - and in the Device Manager of
Windows XP Home (I forgot to mention what operating system I was using in my
original message) it says that the floppy disk drive is working properly.

You might find that the easiest way round this one is to get an external USB
floppy drive if you have a spare port. I think you can get them for around
£20, which might be less expensive than repairing the one you have now if
it's a hardware problem.
