[access-uk] Problem solving with CheckIt diagnostics

Calling all experts!
Wonder if anyone has used this program? I understand it is bundled with Norton
System Works 2005, or can be bought as a stand alone. My interest in it is
trying to sus out a problem with a 1394 Firewire interface which has packed up
on my computer. I am getting a code 10 message saying this device cannot start.
I am wondering if a utility such as CheckIt might sort out what is going on.
