I had a feeling it could be either your DVD drive or your sound card, so I'll choose the latter. Try and update the sound card drivers to the latest version. If that doesn't help, upgrade to a better sound card like the soundblaster range. Hope this helps.

Hi all,

I am using Windows xp, and I have a DVD player. Just lately when ever I play music from a cd, using Windows media player, I get what I can only describe as like a fluttering sound. Sometimes it is worse than others, depending on what music I am playing. If I save the cd to my hard drive, then I don't have the problem. I have had someone look at my DVD player, and they said that there is nothing wrong with it. So could it be my sound card?.Thanks in advance for any help with this one, as it is driving me up the wall.
All the best
