[access-uk] Problem installing flash player

Hi,
I'm trying to watch a video on youtube and get the message that I either
have javascript turned off or an older version of flash player. So I try to
download the latest version of flash and have problems. I untick the
checkbox saying download google toolbar, tick the checkbox saying I agree to
terms, and click download. Then the beep meaning Internet Explorer is
blocking something happens, and I go to the information bar or whatever it
is and click install activex control. Then it seems like the page refreshes
and that beep happens again, but this time there is no warning about an
activex control. This happened too when a sighted friend tried to do it -
there is definitely no warning the second time despite the beep noise.
I only installed flash pretty recently so I'm inclined to think that's
probably not the problem anyway. I was watching yout ube videos fine before
I upgraded Internet Explorer. So I wonder if the problem is javascript
switched off. I went into Internet Options in the security page and changed
settings I thought might be relevant but this hasn't made any differences.
Has anyone got any suggestions either about installing flash or changing
javascript settings? Which specific setting do I need to look at? Any
other ideas?
