Caroline.

Try holding down the jaws key, (otherwise known as insert), and tap escape.

Does the page display now?

If so it's a problem with jaws not refreshing the screen coreectly.....

Over to JFW tech support here....

Subject: [access-uk] Problem With www.whitestick.co.uk

Hello,

I have come up against a strange problem when trying to load
www.whitestick.co.uk.

On one PC the site loads as expected and the sound clip begins to play, but
on another PC, it appears as if the site is loaded as it is shown on screen,
but Jaws does not start to read the site and in the status bar at the bottom
of the screen the message "1 item remaining opening page ..." is displayed
and remains there for as long as I'm prepared to wait before giving up.

Both PC's are using XP Home, both are using a broadband connection, but
there must presumably be some browser setting somewhere which is different
between the two PC's which is causing the problem.

I initially thought that it must have something to do with the jingle which
plays when the site is fully loaded, and that perhaps this jingle is the one
item which the site is trying, and failing, to load successfully. However,
I've gone to another web site which plays music on loading and this works
fine on the troublesome PC.

If anyone has any ideas about what could be causing this problem, please let
me know.

Thanks,

Caroline.
