[access-uk] Re: Printer/Scanner

I have to admit, neither have I. I suppose I am being prejudice here.

  Hi Barry,

That's what I thought but I've never seen one.

  Best.

  Robert.

My thoughts on these combo's is that if one part goes wrong, you're stuck
with a white elephant. There may also be more to go wrong in a combo than
  in separates.

Robert, I don't have one of these, but word on the street has it that the
scanners in these things are not great. Having said that, my mum has one,
and seems to get along with it just fine.
    Cheers.

    Hi Folks,

A blind friend of mine has just ordered a new computer from Dell. He is
  also
in the market for a printer and scanner and is considering getting one of
the machines that will do both jobs. Is anyone on the list using one of
these and id so are they any good? Do they present any problems for
  someone
who is totally blind and can they be used continuously, for example when
    scanning books?

    Best.

    Robert.
