Sorry to answer my own question, but I've figured it out. I first have to
convert the PowerPoint into a PDF, then Kurzweil will recognise it.

I'd like to convert a PowerPoint 2003 slide show into MP3 using Kurzweil
1000 v12. However, Kurzweil does not recognise the PPT file to convert it.
Any suggestions?
