don't know too much about powerpoint but I believe that using anything 
earlier than PowerPoint 2000 is really a bit of a no go.

There are some places I know that are still using Office 97.  (after recent 
news stories you win no big prizes for guessing the parts of the home office 
fall into this category, but even the home office has mostly upgraded.  I 
think that, because Office 97 is now so old in computer terms, there is an 
argument to be made for asking for an upgrade on disability grounds.
