Hi Steve,
Well done and even Freeview is better sound quality than DAB.
At least they haven't as yet set a date on the close down of FM.

Cheers,

Hi Jackie,

As far as I am concerned, DAB is, and always was, a big con. The BBC and
others led us to believe that it would be CD quality. No such luck. 128K
at best, except for Radio 3, which I believe peaks at 192KB. Dreadful
quality, and I certainly wouldn't miss it. You get better bandwidth
listening to the radio on Sky. Now FM is a different matter altogether.
When they switch that off, I will miss that dreadfully, as that is still the
best quality radio if you have a good aerial and receiver.

All the best

Steve

And Simon Mayo is discussing the possible demise in digital radio at 1.00

I just heard on the midday news on Radio4 that the group who own Clasic fm
are going to close there 2 dab only stations namely THe Jazz and Planet
Rock. I don't listen to Planet Rock, but will greatly miss The Jazz.
