Trace, from the Power Schemes page in Power Options, choose a scheme and
then tap down few times to set its parameters. Set the System Standby
option to Never. That should stop your laptop from going into hibernation
mode when idle for sometime.

Trace, change your laptop's behaviour from Power Options in the Control
Panel.
Hope that works,
Amro

Yes Trace it can be a pain to sort out again when it hybernates but you
can sort this out. Now I cannot think how to do it right now but if
nobody answers you on this one I will find out for you so just let me
know tomorrow if you have not had an answer.

Actually, that reminds me.
When you leave a laptop unattended for a while it partly shuts down I
think, hybernates or something, is there any way of stopping it doing
this as it can be a total pain to get sorted out again?

Subject: [access-uk] Possible Problem with Sleep Mode
Hi all, I'm running Vista Home Premium and JAWS 9/10. I seem to be
having the following problem. When I put my laptop to sleep, all
appears to be fine. When I next turn it on, however, it appears it's
lost my session as the startup repair appears and I have to press
enter for it to boot into Windows. Why is this happening? Could it be
a conflict with my Trekstor 160 GB external hard drive, which I do
switch off by the way when it completely goes to sleep? All help
would be greatly appreciated as I fear this is damaging my laptop.
Thanks!
