Hi List.
I've recently signed up with Pipex for my broadband access, and have
encountered a problem when trying to send messages to this list.
Part of the error message says:
"Relaying mail to Freelists.org is not allowed."
Has anyone else using Pipex experienced this problem with messages to
Freelists? And if so, how did you get it sorted?
I have contacted the Pipex customer services for help, but quite frankly,
the degree of ineptitude and downright slow wittedness, was indeed something
to behold! For example, I tried to explain what the error message said,
thinking this would be the quickest way to point out my problem, but the
gentleman on the other end of the phone wasn't interested in hearing about
any old error message! Oh no, I was told to switch off my firewall, quickly
followed by the recommendation that my anti-virus should also be turned off.
Not forgetting his first suggestion that a re-boot will probably fix me up!
All the time with me trying to interrupt by saying I've got the error
message, and wouldn't it help to know what that said? Needless to say, after
five minutes of this, I was slowly losing the will to live. I ended the
call.
Sorry, I was just getting a little worked up as I recalled the whole
experience. I'll go for a lie down in a dark room now!
Oh yes, all help gratefully received.
Regards.
Darran
