[access-uk] Re: Portable DAB radio

Hello Margaret and all. A number of people I know are using the Ministry of
Sound personal quite successfully. I've also recently used both the Pure 1000
and p2000 personals. The latter has similar functionality to the Bug which
means you can record to or listen to stuff from a SD memory card. However,
it's very heavily reliant on menus and not easy to use with no sight. If you'd
like to see a couple of reviews I did some time ago mail me privately at
Ian.macrae@xxxxxxxxx

And I'll happily pass them on alternatively check out

Who have a very good range and are extremely helpful.

Cheers now.

Ian

Hi Margaret.

There is one made by Phillips which is sold by Argoss. I think it's called
the Phillips 1000 DAB but you will have to check. Argoss sells it for £100.

I hope this helps. It's portable but doesn't have any talking speech but
it's supposed to be quite good. It was rated highly in a recent Which
magazine survey and test of DAB radios.
