Barbra,
Agreed on all your points re the Sim Only. I've been on SIM Only for about 3
years now.
15 quid a month gets me 1000 texts and 400 anytime minutes with O2 plus 5mb
downloads.
is the 82 the one with the chunky plastic cover?
I'm figuring KNFB will be available on other phones and although it doesn't
have the Zeon the N85 has a decent camera on it. It's reportidly to the N96
what Windows 7 is to Vista.

Barry and All
I recently took out a SIM Only contract. The benefits of this are more
allowances for less money and you can cancel at any time with 30 days notice. I
don't need a phone, but if I ever do I can just swap over to a contract with a
new phone. I don't have to wait for 12 or 18 months and when I need a phone I
change contracts rather than buy one SIM-Free. Most of the networks have good
SIM Only deals. I got mine from Vodafone and it includes unlimited landline
calls.
As for phones, I would agree that the N82 if you can still get one is
probably the best option if you want to invest in the KNFB in the future. I
don't personally like it but that is purely for cosmetic reasons and I would
still recommend it as an excellent handset performance wise.

Hi Vanja,
Thing is about getting a phone on contract it seems like you're getting
it for free or at a reduced rate. You're not.
You're paying in the long-term for the phone. I'm on SIM Only and snap a
phone up every 3 or so years offline.
Now I'm not going to pay full retail for the thing either though.

Hi,
I'm in a similar situation. I too have n91, which I will be most likely
getting rid of when I come back from my US holiday in march. My requirements
are pretty much same as Barry's. I thought about n96, but from what I've seen
and read it seems buggy and half features like the I-player we can't even use
in the UK! Also it's baterry life doesn't seems very good. N85 though seems
like a nice phone, but o2 doesn't sell it and I'd prefer to stay on o2 and I
don't think that it's such a good phone that I'd want to pay a lot of money to
buy it offline. I quite like the look of the samsung phone about which I posted
couple of weeks ago, but seems that unfortunately talks is not going to support
any non nokia phones even if they are on symbian platform. So again, any
suggestions apreciated bearing in mind that I wouldn't really like to spend a
lot of money on buying an offline phone as, to me it just doesn't seem worth
that much.

Hi folks,
I am selling my n91 8GB. It's a referb straight from a service
centre with Talks so the buyer will get a good one.
Is there any phones out there at the moment people are really in to?
I was considering the N96 but heard some awful reports, same with the
N97 that's just out.
The N82 is a possibility because of the fact it works with the KNFB
software, which I might decide to buy down the line. Thing is the n82 is
becoming an older phone by the day.
Allot of folks seem to be going on about the N95 8GB, but I'm
somewhat reluctant as this is an older phone.
I'm wondering whither to scrap S60 and go native with a Windows
Mobile phone but what one? I don't really want a PDA style phone with it's
bulk and titchy keyboard.
As you can see I'm really not sure what to go for at the moment. I
do like the N91's features and connectivity but want more.
Any suggestions?
