The only way I have found of rebooting the PTX1 is to hold down the power button until it reboots itself. apart from never having to play from discs, I don’t really like the PTX1. The advance/rewind function is particularly awful and the page function where it is present on books is virtually useless as you can’t select a page number. Sent the player back a couple of years ago and, presumably, the battery was replaced. There were a lot of complaints at the time I think. More trouble this year which was resolved by replacing the mains cable. It looks like I’m going to have to send it back yet again. I use the mains and battery power quite a lot and the battery retention of charge seems to be getting shorter and shorter. Anybody else having similar problems. The player has packed up altogether today; won’t even work on the mains. Could someone remind me of the keystroke to reboot the thing. The situation is not desperate; I also have a Victor Stream and a Booksense. Regards David
