Gordon,
There are two lengths of pcmcia card. The old one is about as long as the
width of your hand. The new one is only half the length and has a different
connector on its edge. The two have different slots for them, of course.
If the card is sticking out by half its lengththen it is probably a long
card in a short slot.

Recently I bought a 1000 mbit network PCMCIA card for my laptop but I can't
get it fully into the slot. Should I push harder, is there a way to get full
access to the slot or is this not the correct kind of card for this
expansion slot in my Del XPS1210?
Any help gratefully received.
