This happened on Friday after my friend did some computer housekeeping.

Peter,

press "start" "run" type in the edit field:
sfc /scannow
Make sure you have your xp disk loaded in the CD drive, and watch it happen.

In earlier versions of windows you were prompted as to what to do with each .dll that was reported, now the process is almost automatic I think.

The next question Might be, what or who deleted the offending library?

Regards,

Joe

Thanks Joe. Please can you tell me more about this? Can you get to this with a screen reader or does it need sight?

Peter,
A thought at five past three on sunday morning.

a long shot might be to run "sfc" with the /scannow switch. You'll need your xp disk.

Cheers, Joe
