Hi James,

I had the same problem with OE and XP home. Well I thought I had that
problem, but it seems that although it doesn't show up in the password field
as stars but a blank field, it is in fact there. Uncheck "remember password
check box" and tab shift back to the password field and enter your password.
Now go back to "remember my password check box" and re-check it. Now
download your e-mails and after the e-mail's have come into your in box,
shut down OE. Now go back into OE and try downloading from your server, I
found although there was no stars in the box, it still connected. I think
this is a well known problem with XP and OE.
Jim.
