hi carol, yup I have the r-mail on my system here, I did try some other data
recovery programs from there, but with little success.

Hi Andy. To the best of my knowledge, the Deleted Items folder is the
last
stop for all messages in most E-mail clients. In the case of OE, I
think
the
only way you could retrieve a message at a later date would be to
Backup
the
Deleted Items.DBX file before emptying the Deleted Items folder, then
restoring it at a later date. This however would recover all deleted
messages as opposed to individual ones, which I suspect is not what
you
want
to do.
