  You'll find it in options, under the send tab it say something like include 
received messages    in replies or something to that affect, uncheck it, i'm 
sure you'll no it when you read it.

    Thanks Jim but no that is not what I am talking about.  I am not talking 
about expanding and shrinking but a setting in Outlook Express which say if you 
write to me and I reply, your origional message will not appear.

      go into view menu , then into current and scroll down to "group messages 
by conversation" select it, done. However, this doesn't always work for some 
reason.
