[access-uk] Other BT Frustrations

To add a bit to the string on BT.

I don't know if any of you have tried the new BT Yahoo Mail beta which they
are currently pushing.

As soon as I went onto it it tells me that I cannot use it as it currently
does not work with screen readers.

How can they do this?

To know that a piece of public ally available software is not accessible to
a portion of the public is inexcusable.

There is enough information out there in the public domain for them to know
how to make software accessible.

I have been with BT for a long time, but do not use any of their software.
My experience of it has lead me to believe that it is simply not accessible.
I have spoken to various people over the years about this, but to no lasting
effect.

They may get a given piece of software accessible and then then release a
new version or something new. Guess what, they have forgotten all of their
access guidelines.

However, having said this about B T I very much doubt if they are alone on
this. Didn't AOL have access issues for a long time. No doubt others as
wall.
