Ah, I forgot to mention that I already have 1gig of RAM. Also, all my updates
are updated. Could it be a fault with fonts? I ask this as it seems to be
files that I have imported from other sources, such as copied from the net,
things I have scanned, or ebooks on disc.

First, check to make sure you have all the relevant updates, including
Windows and Office updates. If that still doesn't resolve the problem, try
upgrading your RAM to, say, 1 gig. Hope that helps.
