Hi Andy, So do they have a tone indexer so I can mark where things are on the machine for instance if someone said to me here is my phone number could I put it on there and find it easy again?

Hi Andy.The Olympus DS is a small digital recorder, about 3 inch, by 1 inch by 1/4 inch. It has a built in microphone which is extremely good. It can take an external microphone also. It has a USB, so you simply plug it into your computers and you can copy files to and from by using Windows Explorer. The device has directories A to IF, where you can keep music, interviews, lectures or even podcasts. When you arrow through these, the recorder speaks, making things very easy. 2 AA batteries last about 11 hours and once you press record, it will record for up to seven hours without running out of disk space. I've got one and I love it.
