Hi Steve.

You can always convert to mp3 using GoldWave as I do. It is a great machine
for creating Podcasts as I'm currently doing. The quality is superb and I'd
be surprised if the Ederal could match it. I think it's a little unfair to
keep referring to it as a dictation machine. when it clearly is not.
However, it is perfect for recording the human voice and the built-in
microphone will easily pick up anything from a class to a large lecture
hall. It has an index system that enables the user to mark particular
points in the recording which they wish to return to quickly. It has a
built in speaker for easy monitoring of recordings, without the need of a
pair of headphones, and I'm still, after two weeks of heavy use, on my first
set of batteries. You ought to try and get your hands on one to check it
out Steve. I could have paid a little more and got an Ederal, but I'm glad
I didn't.

Best wishes.
Andy
