Hi John, 8 gig internal memory, a bit less in reality though given the way
these things are calculated.

Olympus claim that it will take a 32GB card, was going to buy one before
hols, but the one I wanted was out of stock, so 16GB card for now which
works fine.

I say Works fine, although much to my annoyance, I didn't realise that when
switching to external memory, it appears that one has to change the default
recording format.

Blast! I've been recording in wma at 128KBPS all day.

Happy to provide some files recorded at that quality though if you want
them.

Also, Damon, I'll do the internal mic thing tomorrow at the correct format,
i.e. the format I'd normally record at, and hope that I can upload the
results when I get to the back of beyond which is where I'm heading.

T

Hi Tony, how much internal memory does the DM5 come with? Can't see any
mention to it on the spec on the Olympus site. Will it take a 32 gb card?
                    John.
