Am I right in thinking that you need the most recent version of JFW to use 2007 with any effectiveness?

I am not a heavy user of Office, but have been using 2007 for several months now, mostly Word. Like Chris I like the way JAWS provides you with all the shortcut keys and if you are good at remembering them then it's really worth the upgrade. I also find it more responsive. For the first while however you will think yourself lost in the ribbons, but this does disappear as you rebuild the picture of the menus in your head from what you knew before. I certainly have no regrets. BTW, I've only just started using PowerPoint and a friend who used JAWS with Office 2003 says it is vetter with 2007 in her opinion.

Office 2007's interface has changed, in that "ribbons" are now used instead
of the traditional menus and toolbars. JAWS works really well with the
ribbons though; it even goes as far as teaching you how to use them and
provide feedback in terms of what hot keys you can press. Hope this helps. I
find Office 2007 to be more responsive than Office 2003.

HI \Everyone.

I know some of you are using office 2007, I would like to know what you
think of the new version. I am still using office 2003 which I find more
than adequate for my needs, but might be interested in upgrading should
there be a significant advantage in doing so.

All the best, Ibrahim.
