Mark, I rang the number and after giving my details and pointing out my concerns about different people's experiences I was told I would receive a return phone call within 5 working days. I'll keep you posted. I was advised that I did not need to complete a new claim form, simply to send proof of my disability to them in a covering letter. Registration card was duly photocopied and the letter sent. I have not had any confirmation of receipt, but I did send it registered delivery. Others have said they were advised they needed to do a new claim in full, so it appears the advice and communication is inconsistant. DLA helpline 08457123456. Last November, DWP left a message on my answering machine, to which I left a message in return, expecting a reply, I never got one. I have just phoned the DWP, and no record exists of them phoning me. Has anyone received a phone call or letter from the DWP concerning the higher rate mobility of the D L A?
