[access-uk] Re: OT but... Anyone having problems with plus.net?

Hi,

This is why I try never to use CCA. While sometimes it may be possible
to get the bank or another company to go down heavily on the offending
company, it usually takes a change of credit card details to stop it,
and then you have the issue of getting the money back from the payments
that shouldn't have gone through.

Unlike with direct debit, where you can close the mandate at any time.

Thanks.

Andrew.

Yes, it is up to the company taking the payments to stop taking them.
Then you have to get the money back!

Well trace I had my Virgin Internet taken of my credit
card some years ago.
When I upgraded to broadband with BT I had enormous
problems terminating my
debits with Virgin! the problem with them taking money
of your credit card
is that unlike a direct debit you cannot cancel it is up
to the company to
stop debiting your card.----- Original Message -----
