[access-uk] Re: OT but... Anyone having problems with plus.net?

Malcolm,

Had I not had personal experience, I'd not have bothered to
reply as I did!

George.

Not nonsense I'm afraid George!!

I contacted the people you mention my credit card company
too but to no avail.

Check your facts!

This is nonsense. You should send a formal letter
to your Credit Card company with a full explanation, by
Registered Post.

This should be backed up with a copy of the letter
sent to your ISP which clearly states that you are legally
entitled to terminate their services on whatever grounds you
have stated.

You Citizens Advice Bureau should be able to assist
here, and indeed it would be wise to get their advice.

If that fails, contact your local Trading Standards
Office.

        George.

Well trace I had my Virgin Internet taken of
my credit card some years ago.
When I upgraded to broadband with BT I had
enormous problems terminating my
debits with Virgin! the problem with them
taking money of your credit card
is that unlike a direct debit you cannot
cancel it is up to the company to
                stop debiting your card.----- Original
