Cheers Paul paul.leake@xxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brendan Magill" <brendan@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Access-uk" <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, July 26, 2006 11:31 AM Subject: [access-uk] OT: RNIB Membership Hi everyone, Sorry to post this to the list, but I'm looking for people who may have had a problem with their RNIB membership. RNIB recently held elections to its Assembly. Voting in those elections was open to all members of RNIB, so anyone who was a paid up member should have received information about the election and associated voting papers. Because of what has been described as an "administrative error", I did not receive any information about these elections, even though two people had nominated and seconded me. As a result, I was not able to vote and only discovered that the elections had actually taken place after voting had closed. I wonder is there anyone else out there who may have had similar problems? I have been told by staff at RNIB that I am the only member who was excluded from the vote, but I haven't seen any evidence to support this. I would therefore like to hear from anyone who is a member of RNIB and who was not given the opportunity to vote in the recent Assembly elections. Please contact me privately at brendan@xxxxxxxxxxxx so as not to clutter the list with this subject, which has nothing whatsoever to do with access technology. Many thanks, Brendan. -- BRENDAN MAGILL Business, Employment & Disability Consultancy 8 York Place Worcester WR1 3DR England Phone: +44 (0)1905 28286 Fax: +44 (0)870 127 7856 Web: www.magill.co.uk ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq ** To leave the list, click on the immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=unsubscribe] ** If this link doesn't work then send a message to: ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx ** and in the Subject line type ** unsubscribe ** For other list commands such as vacation mode, click on the ** immediately-following link:- ** [mailto:access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx?subject=faq] ** or send a message, to ** access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the Subject:- faq
