Having worked a good deal as a musician in working men's clubs in the
north-east, and having been in a few with both my blind parents over the years,
the potential for offense in bingo terminology never occurred to any of us.
Remember there's also Kelley's eye, on it's own, number 1.

Maybe it's because I live in Blackpool, I don't know. I've heard this
particular call for many years and must admit I haven't thought twice about
it so perhaps you're being a little over-sensitive about it?
