Hi George, When you get to the box to select the scanner nothing shows,
despite the fact that there's clearly a scanner attached and recognised by
other progs.

Hi Richard,

I suspect you need to go to Microsoft Office: Microsoft Office Tools and
select Microsoft Office Document Scanning.

When the "Scan New Document" dialog comes up, navigate to the scanner
button, and select your scanner.

George.

Hi, When I try to use document scanning, I get the message "no scanner
found". This message has only appeared since I restored my system from an
image created last year. Abby FineReader works well, but I sometimes use
Office scanning too.

Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Richard
