[access-uk] OE repair?

Hello all,
all of a sudden, my computer started crashing when going through folders in OE. 
 it stops responding especially when I come to the deleted items folder.  there 
is nothing in the folder at all.  I am using windows xp sp2 installed with OE 6 
and jaws 5.01.  is it possible to repair OE at all?
