Yes Andy, I unchecked that box, and re-booted, but no change. I also tried to do a JFW repair, but when I hit on maintenance, I got the following message: "An installation support file could not be installed, the system can not find the file specified" Something strange is going on here, as I also tried to uninstall Thunderbird, an email client I had been trying, and it gave me a similar message about a file not being installed, which effectively meant I couldn't uninstall the programme! Other things seem to be working ok, but wondering now if I do have a virus of some kind, and if so, how to check, and what to do! Much head scratching going on here, not to mention the frustration <smile> Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy Logue" <andy@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, April 20, 2006 10:34 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: OE problem Same here | Hi Andy. | | Yes, it's very frustrating when something like this comes up on the list and | cannot be resolved. I'm sure it's something simple though. Strangely | enough Andy, the symptoms you are having are identical to those I | experienced when I checked the box titled Read all Messages in Plain Text. | Have you un-checked this and re-booted? Need to go to bed now so hopefully, | my first message tomorrow will be from you saying that it's sorted.
