Thanks Sandra - yep, couldn't see the buttons strait away, but the JAWS cursor found them! Still would appreciate help in learning how to actually use the programme to scan my system for viruses - I'd like to do a full scan, given the problems I've been experiencing, I still don't know if I have a virus or not!

Hi Andy,
Just to add to what Simon has already said, the settings button won't be visible if you've still got the graphics turned on. When you've control tabbed to the other side of the screen, press alt S and this will activate the settings button. From there you can uncheck the use graphical interface and splash screen check boxes.
