...I've just remembered, that this guy is using an Orange email account to send emails, and his ISP [BTInternet] to receive mail--he's done this because he didn't want to change his email address when he moved from Orange to BT. I can't see it, but wonder if this could be screwing up in OE, in such a way that a copy of the message isn't saved in the sent folder? - Andy ----- Original Message ----- From: Carol Pearson To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Sunday, July 04, 2010 9:31 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: OE and the sent messages folder Hi there. There's a little trick you could try which certainly worked with older OE versions. If you created a mailbox you had to put a message in it before it really functioned properly, so get him to copy or move a message from somewhere else to his Sent box and then try to send from the Outbox again. Another thing that I've sometimes had to do is to go into any messages in the Outbox that didn't go and tweak them a little so that they get changed, or appear to be, before they'd go; and they won't arrive in the Sent box until they leave the Outbox, obviously. Hope something like this solves the problem. -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx On Twitter: http://twitter.com/songbird49a ---- Original Message ---- From: ANDY COLLINS To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Saturday, July 03, 2010 7:21 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: OE and the sent messages folder > Thanks Carol - he's sighted - > > Andy > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Carol Pearson > To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Saturday, July 03, 2010 7:10 PM > Subject: [access-uk] Re: OE and the sent messages folder > > > If he's visually impaired and using an older copy of a > screen reader, it just could be that the check boxes > aren't reading correctly. > > Other than this, I can't think of another reason at > present ... > > -- > Carol > carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx > On Twitter: http://twitter.com/songbird49a > > ---- Original Message ---- > From: ANDY COLLINS > To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Sent: Saturday, July 03, 2010 8:46 AM > Subject: [access-uk] Re: OE and the sent messages folder > > > Hi Ibrahim - Thanks, but as I said in my message, that > > box is already ticked, that's why we're confused. > > > > Regards - > > > > Andy > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: Ibrahim Gucukoglu > > To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > Sent: Saturday, July 03, 2010 4:07 AM > > Subject: [access-uk] Re: OE and the sent messages folder > > > > > > Hi Andy. > > > > In Outlook Express, go to tools, options and then in the > > sent tab select "save copy of sent message in sent > > messages folder". > > > > All the best, Ibrahim. > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: ANDY COLLINS > > To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > > Sent: Friday, July 02, 2010 9:47 PM > > Subject: [access-uk] OE and the sent messages folder > > > > > > A friend is using OE and XP.
