Hi Ibrahim I didn't want the camera, nor GPS, so those features wouldn't have mattered to me in any case. I just hated it in the end, I couldn't take to it somehow. Like you, I don't know what is happening with the development of Talks, though I have the latest version to put on my N86 when I get around to it. I'm just happy to be back to where I was, on a tariff I like, with a good signal in the area, and on a phone I both love and enjoy using. That is not to say, however, that people shouldn't try out the iPhone, it just wasn't for me, and I'm glad to have had the opportunity to find out that was the case. Hi Jackie. Well, I have to say that its a real shame. A lot of the problems you describe re texting can be overcome with a good Bluetooth keyboard, and there are a handful of keyboards out there that mirror keyboards on Nokia and Blackberry devices for those who want the experience of a qwerty keyboard on a phone instead of the touch keyboard on IOS devices. The IPod Touch is a nice device to be sure, but it lacks many of the features of the IPhone like a decent back camera and most of all, an internal GPS receiver. Obviously though as you say, the IPhone isn't for everyone so I wish you well with your Nokia's. I'm not following talks development much these days truth be told, so I'd be interested to hear what's happening with it of late. All the best, Ibrahim. -----Original Message----- From: Jackie Cairns Sent: Sunday, May 08, 2011 12:29 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] No more iPhone! All, I am happy and relieved to say that I no longer have an iPhone, just my iPod Touch 64GB and fifth generation Nano. I just could not get on with the phone side of the device. I found it hard to text, which took me so much longer than doing so on a regular keypad that I could feel. And I get a lot of texts, so it became time-consuming, laborious and very frustrating. There were just things I disliked enormously about the iPhone as a phone, including its bulkiness. So I asked O2 if they would downgrade me on my Simplicity contract to where I was before, and port my mobile number to a regular SIM card. They did this straight away. In fact, the iPhone was off within 20 minutes to half an hour. Happily for me, my SIM that they sent out in the post works not only on my N86, but also on my beloved N91 handset, so I am as happy as Larry to be back to Talks. Those of you with the iPhone will doubtless feel I've thrown the towel in and given up. Dead right! I love my iPod Touch, and finding apps to try out, but I just did not like the iPhone, and as my son's third gen device came to a sticky end recently, he has become the beneficiary of my beast. So, in conclusion, it's not for everyone, including me! (smile).
