Hi Husna My mum and dad bought my Perkins for me when I started school in 1968, which I think cost something ridiculous like £14. The same machine sits on my desk at home just as fit and well as it was back then. It no longer fronts my Braille I love ABBA stickers, but it's as good as new, and I wouldn't swap it for anything there is today unless I really have to contemplate it. I took it to Birmingham in July to do my BTEC advanced Braille exam, and it served me well. It's one of these sacred things no sophisticated technology could replace for me!
