Hi Tony,

I thought that it was something along those lines and it not being a menu item. Thanks for that info. I assume noone else who installed ILM jaws 6 has this happening to them?

Hi Peter and Vanja

It is a start menu item that comes up for a short time after you install a new programme. However, I have never seen it come up for more than five or six times after the programme has been installed, so am not at all sure why you are having it appearing after three days Vanja.

It comes up as a tool tip right beside the start button when you open the Start menu, and is not part of a programme menu or anything like that. To the best of my knowledge it only appears in Windows XP.

Regards
Tony

Hi Vanja, I set my start menu to XP and hit the start button. And you're right. I did hear Jaws say. New Programs installed. I arrowed up and down and, again, you're right, its not a menu item. However, I could not repeat the process. Happened only once. Within control panel settings. Do you have show pop-up description for folder and desktop items check box unchecked? Perhaps Jaws is reading a popup window?
