Thanks for trying to help, but....hahahahah guess what? we were trying to
use the TFT speakers, but daughter had pluged in the stand-alone speakers
off her old computer! My son found this out when he came home and folled a
strange blue cable! lol So simple really, thanks to Ibbi though we now have
heard its possible to use 4 speakers, so we will try to use that setting
after lunch, hope we don't mess things up with messing about! lol Thanks,

I'm confused. Where are the speakers the computer is supposed to use
when you haven't got the headphones plugged in? Do you unplug them to
plugin the headphones? This is probably obvious, but there is often a
on/off switch on the speakers themselves which you may need to turn on.
Also if the speakers have a subwoofer it might have its own power
supply.
