I feel pretty much the same in terms of most of them. Somehow, I can't see
me walking about with a pair of specs on when my own eyes are prosthetic,
but I would give them a try just to see what they are like in terms of
protection against higher objects etc. I can just imagine the comments and
usual reactions one will get: "Oh will they help your sight a bit love?
That's great". (smile).

I guess they're meant to help guard against you walking in to say a litter
bin hanging off a lamp post, or a low hanging awning, especially for tall
people. Personally, I never, either when using a guide dog, which I did for
many years, or now with a long cane, which I prefer, encounter such
problems. I wonder how these glasses respond when encountering other
pedestrians?
I'm always rather cynical when it comes to yet another so-called mobility
aid, cos so far, in my experience, they have all been expensive bits of
junk.
