I doubt you'll need a Code if it's an OEM version of Windows, though
usually they WILL want activation over the internet.

Yes indeed George, that is where they are good to a point and then
fall off. 
I suppose that is also where I needed to just stay around and not go
off. 
Do I need then to register my Windows and if yes where will I get that

registration number?  2 CDs came with the NC10 but I do not know what
they 
are. Maybe the code is on one of them.
