Hi Marie.If you choose the data option then you'll get a data or MP3 disc and not an audio CD, that's the difference. The data or MP3 CD, whatever you prefer to call it, will only play in players that support that disc format whereas an audio CD will play in any CD player but will obviously be limited to 80 minutes of music.Regards.
