Hey you cheeky thing, I'm not complaining I'm just pondering! Anyway it's
provoked a good discussion though. If I do turn the 3 G off, is it fine to
turn it back on again when or if I want to download data? I'll just
experiment a bit for fun, if all of you think 2 days is good, then that's
fine! It would be interesting to prove a point though and see how long it
lasts.

Mandy

Hi Jackie,

Yes, you are talking rubbish <Big Smile>.

You can turn off 3G. Go to Tools, Settings, Phone, Network, and from there,
select Network Mode. It will currently be set to Dual Mode. If you set it
to GSM, you will effectively turn off 3G. Do not do this though, if you use
it to download data, as it will slow you down. For example, if you get
Email through GPRS, rather than 3G, you will be going quite a bit slower.

All the best

Steve

Hi Mandy

I don't think you could, or would want, to turn 3G off. It is something
that your phone picks up in your area to receive your network as far as I
know, though someone will correct me if I'm talking rubbish.

I'm not sure what else you can turn off to prolong your battery life. How
much are you getting out of it, obviously depending on how much you use it?

Jackie
