I must admit I've done some interesting keyboard rudiments over the past couple of days with windows key combinations.

Hi Eleanor.

I said nothing of the kind *smile*. The N120 has a 97% full size keyboard, this means that with the exception of the function keys on the top row which are half size, and the 6 key cluster on the bottom right hand corner of the machine, all the other keys are like standard laptop keys. The machine is slightly bigger and wide as a result, but only mildly so and the luxury and comfort you get from the keyboard when typing far outlays this discrepancy.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Thank you for this but I would want to see something before purchasing it. I think you had said and forgive me if you hve not in a previous post that the keyboard on the N120 had a number pad and was like a standard desktop qwerty beyboard. I am a little puzzled as this would mean it would have to be very large. I do thank uyou though for your detailled response and the links provided.

Hi Eleanor.

It seems from what I've been able to gather from various sources that the
N120 isn't being sold in many mainstream electrical retailers though you
might find it in smaller electronics stores. The main reason for this is
that retailers are reluctant to stock different flavours of the same
product, being as the Samsung netbooks don't vary much in specification and the changes are mostly design orientated. However, the N110 which is the
next model up from the NC10 should be available in retail outlets and it
doesn't look dissimilar to the N120 with the exception of the keyboard which
is the main difference between the two netbooks.

I hope this helps you, but I can assure you that the N120 is definatly a
current model and is available online from www.saveonsamsung.com amongst
other web retailers.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hi
I read Terry's question to Ibrahim. I became interested in this Netbook following much discussion on this forum and took myself off to Curry's to look at it. I was informed they did not have it and had stopped selling
it. interesting! Seems they have now moved on to something else!

Ibrahim as I know you have a good deal of experience with the N120 I'd be
uinterested to know what Samsung features you actually use.
I've just got teh N120, love it but would find your response to this very
interesting.
Sorry if I should of started a new topic.

Hi Chris.

The Samsung ones will work with windows 7 natively so I understand, its just in case you want to enable the Samsung specific functionality like the hotkeys or if you want the battery saving functions etc that Samsung
provide. All the hardware though like the network both wired and
wireless, sound, graphics, external ports, camera, mouse and so on will
work without any need for external drivers to be installed.

All the best, Ibrahim.

Hello all,
Out of all the netbooks, which one(s) will run Windows 7 without the
need
to install third party drivers? Just curious as I'm now doing a
re-think
in case my laptop doesn't come back from repair. Please advise. Thanks.
