Hi George

Sorry to take so long to reply but I have been busy loading
my windows 7 netbooks with my software.

As regards the printer, it didn't work on 3 laptops so it
has gone back to the shop, it worked on the forth and final
one but none of mine. Strange. Mum and I tried it about
twenty times, no joy. Can't work it out at all. Thanks.

Regards

Adrien

Hi Adrian,

Click on the run button on your start menu. Type in msconfig
and hit enter. Click on the services tab. scroll down until
you find plug and play and check the box. Click apply and
restart windows for the changes to take.

If that fails, it may have been disabled in BIOS, and so you
may need sighted help to sort that one out.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] My new printer

Hi

I have just got a new printer but my netbook won't pick it
up at all, I have tried installing from the cd several times
but no joy, I am in the midst of downloading the drivers
from the website, when the pc guy formatted my netbook, for
some unknown reason, he disabled the found new hardware so
when I plug a new device in, it doesn't tell me that there
is new hardware. Anyway, I am using xp home and service pack
3.
the printer is a canon mp250 multi purpose printer. Any
suggestions would be welcome. I have tried two usb cables
but it doesn't make any difference.

Regards

Adrien
