Hi Jackie
I appreciate I may be wrong, but did I not understand you to say some time back that a USB parallel cable would work with Power Braille and Jaws 10? For those interested Power Braille and Focus blue work with Supernova also.

Hi Pele

One of the things dearest to my heart, as many know, is Braille. And because of the route FS have elected to take regarding the digital signing of drivers - rightly or wrongly depending on your point of view - I can no longer use my own PowerBraille display if I want to work with JAWS 11. Having just purchased a Windows 7 laptop, I obviously need to run JAWS 11, and there is no way around the display issue because I am not prepared, and certainly can't afford, to purchase something that suits FS. I know from what I've seen and heard that Window-Eyes supports Braille very well, and this is just one of many incentives for me to move over. I don't think I'll ever uninstall JAWS from my PC because it is something I will use having forked out for it. But I'm prepared to give Window-Eyes a good try, particularly with Braille in mind. As soon as I downloaded the demo and chose a PowerBraille display, it went first go.

Time will tell.

Hi Jackie and Everyone

I am also someone who has gone over completely to Window-Eyes. I used JAWS when I was at work as it had better support for MS Office at that time but, as my husband preferred Window-Eyes, always used it at home. Now I am no longer at work I find Window-Eyes works well with the programs I run.

I have a few issues with Windows 7, but I think they are related to the operating system rather than the screen reader.

Good luck, Jackie.

Pele
